05/02/2006  --   This was a beer I had in an English pub eating a stew, and it worked for me.  The beer was creamy and smooth, and the malt stood out over the hops.  You would think that saying that the malt and the hops were not in balance is a defect except in this case it really worked well. There was also a very subtle hint of roasted taste, but not enough that it took over the beer, rather just enough to notice.   The beer complimented the food, and would be worth having another.     -Bottletree

03/14/2009  --   Highland is a very clean and well planned brewery. The tour is second to none.  There wasn't a single spent grain in the mash tun, nor the kettle, nor anywhere else. You could eat off the floor.  Nicest staff you could imagine. You have to get up and see this amazing place. Oh, and the Gaelic Ale is fantastic!     -Bottletree
