07/18/2005  -- I am not sure if the view of the Bay in Kailua-Kona, or if it was the freshness of drinking the beer right down the street from the brewery, or the fact that this was as smooth of a Lager as I have ever had.  What was so unique about the Longboard Lager was the intensity of the hop flavor.  This is truly the Pale Ales of Lagers, as funny as that sounds.  Kona Brewing, my hats off (and my shoes, and tie.....). -BottleTree
