Takes First place in the Brittish and Irish Ale Category of the 2009 Pisgah Brewing Company Organic Pro-Am

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Blue Ribbon with the Wee Bit Heavy named 'Velvet'

07/12/2009 -- The new  brewery is producing some winning beers, as evidenced by a first  place finish in the 2009 Pisgah Organic Pro-Am. in the Brittish and Irish Ale category, with a score of 43 points.  The beer weighed in with a 1.072 OG, which would be the lowest OG for a Wee Bit Heavy.  When a 72 point Scottish Ale tastes like Velvet, you know you have done something special. This was one beer, you just didn't want to put down. Fermented at cool temperatures to bring out the maltiness, there were some eight different grains used to create the velvety smooth texture.
